Which Is Better: Animes or TV Series?
Why Is – The Anime – More Famous – Than Western – TV Series?
Both are good.
Although the two cannot be directly compared,
I like anime more than TV shows because the stories in anime are more deep and touching.
I learned a lot from anime, including how to live, morals, and the importance of friends. I often watch both TV shows and anime, but I like anime more than TV shows. This is a completely personal opinion so there may be others, but for me, anime has the upper hand.
The following drama series were aired on TV:
Game of throne
Lost
Walking dead.
Sitcoms:
Breaking bad
Friends
HIMYM
The Big Bang Theory
BEST ANIME MOVIES EVER | GREATEST ANIME MOVIES OF ALL TIME
If we talk about anime it gave us super cool shows like.
The long one’s:
Dragonball franchise
AOT
Fairy Tail
Demon Slayer
One Punch Man
Naruto
Fullmetal Alchemist
Death note
Code Geass
One piece
Bleach
etc.
The biggest advantage of watching anime over TV shows is that they give you all the entertainment you get from TV shows, and then some. TV shows can’t reward it.
Both have similar qualities like story, hero, villain, fight, and struggle. In anime, everything is animated, so you can go through cinematic scenes (especially battle scenes). TV shows rely on actors and their facial expressions for every scene, and anime can’t do that.
If you are interested in watching people and their facial expressions, then TV shows are for you.
Is Japanese animation better than American animation? Why?
The animation styles are different, but I’m not trying to compare the animations. It’s about telling stories.
Western and Japanese animated films (Pixar and Disney represent the West, Studio Ghibli represent the Japanese) both have family themes, but many Studio Ghibli films take a more mature view.
(Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke, The Tale of the Tale Princess Kaguya) compared to most American animated films (the only one that comes to mind with a more mature take).
But there is also a TV.
Look at it this way. American animation mainly focuses on three aspects:
- Family-friendly animated movies (Disney, Pixar, etc.)
- Adult cartoons or animated sitcoms (The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, etc.)
- Children’s cartoons (SpongeBob SquarePants, Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, etc.)
Japanese animation has a wide general audience, but has the following characteristics:
- Any Studio Ghibli movie that you can watch as a family.
- Anime series that basically covers all genres for all ages.
It’s rare to find sci-fi thrillers in American animation. It’s also unheard of for an animated movie or series where the main character of the series is actually a psychopathic megalomaniac who wants to take over the world. Basically the roots of evil people, but these are only a few that can be seen in Japanese anime.
To top it off, American animation targets family, adult/teen comedy, or children’s audiences.
In Japanese animation, the target audience is not limited to any particular category, and a large number of new animations are produced for television every year, so each series has a wide range of genres and target audiences, and storylines allow for more creativity.
Some series have the potential to rival the best Western live-action movies and television series, but unlike live-action, anything is possible with animation.
This is why I think that Japanese animation is superior to Western animation in some respects.
First of all, I don’t think it’s fair to lump all Japanese animation together like you lump all American animation together.
For example, American film animation is dominated by 3D animation, which is quite different from American television animation, which is still dominated by 2D.
Even in American television animation, shows aimed at adults (eg, South Park, Family Guy, Rick & Morty) differ from shows aimed at children (eg, Peppa Pig, SpongeBob SquarePants, Sofia the First).
Among American animated films, there are family-oriented studios (Pixar, Disney Animation, DreamWorks, etc.) as opposed to children’s studios (Illumination Entertainment, Sony Pictures Animation, etc.). Fox Animation and Warner Animation are also dabbling in stop motion.
Common anime types based on target market are:
- Shojo – young girls under-15
- Josei – aimed at-young-women
- Seinen – aimed at-young-men
- Kodomomuke – child-oriented anime
- Shonen – young – boys under-15
- Ecchi – R-Rated-Anime due to-sexual innuendos
What is the list of great anime TV series?
Death Note
The most widely loved anime on this list, Death Note is an epic-scale psychological thriller that will keep you hooked throughout its short 33-episode plotline. When a high school student with advanced intelligence receives a “death notebook” that allows him to kill anyone he wants, he decides to use it for good and change the world for the better.
One Piece
One Piece is an action-adventure series about Monkey D. Luffy, a boy with extraordinary resilience. Tells the story of Luffy. The series has over 1100+ episodes and is one of the most popular anime. Code Geass
When an ordinary-looking schoolboy gains the ability to control anyone at his command, he uses this power to bring down the mighty British Empire, which has conquered the entire Earth. Code Geass plays like a game of chess, relying on intense psychological warfare and mecha-based combat to create a story that will appeal to any brand of audience.
Full Metal Alchemist
Fullmetal Alchemist, which has the look of the European Industrial Revolution and the feel of an aggressive adventure drama, is another popular anime that captivates readers with its emotion and story. Brothers Edward and Alphonse are searching for the Philosopher’s Stone to restore their bodies after an experiment to revive their fallen mother. The journey of these two makes for a truly satisfying watch.
Attack on Titan
This is the latest anime that is taking the world by storm and impressing critics worldwide. Innumerable monsters have come into the world, swarming the cities like mosquitoes on a hot summer day. Only one city was able to survive the attack, and it is up to the people of the city to defeat the mighty Titans and understand why they have arrived. The action sequences and characters of this series are exceptional and will leave you wanting more as soon as you finish the first and only season.
Cowboy Bebop
Cowboy Bebop is a legend in the anime world. Its voiceover acting, music, settings, and characters are some of the best ever created. As this great series proves, following the story of a space-age bounty hunter can be terrifying, thrilling, and shocking.

Another very popular series with many fans around the world, Naruto is a long-running series that has great action scenes and an engaging story.
